Sparkle and Shine with Sunsilk’s designer range

If you've watched any TV in the last few weeks then I'm sure you've seen Sunsilk's hot catwalk ads. That's right folks, Sunsilk has released a limited edition range of designer shampoos, so that us regular girls can shine with catwalk confidence - well, at least our hair can!

But does it really make that much difference, you ask?

I admit I can be quite a cynic when it comes to beauty products with gimmicks. Generally I believe in keeping it simple - If a product works, I use it, if it doesn't, I don't. I'm not overly fussed about brand names and such (a very complex philosophy, I know!). So, understandably I was a little sceptical when I heard about Sunsilk's new limited edition Fashion Designer Range of shampoos- three designers, three different shampoo/ conditioner combos that contain special ingredients to achieve the look and shine each designer believes is important for beautiful hair.

Putting my premature judgements aside I began trying out the Peter Morrissey 'Mirror Shine' shampoo and conditioner. It contains crystal dust and satin extracts for 'hair that glimmers with shine and softness'.

The first thing that grabbed me was the smell. YUM (After a few weeks of using it I still maintain that if that fragrance could be converted to a perfume I'd be their best customer)! It's pretty and elegant, without being too fruity or floral, and it stays with you all day. I was also impressed to discover when reading the (very agreeable) packaging that I was using a homegrown product - made in Australia. So, Peter Morrissey and I were off to a good start…

After a few washes with my new designer shampoo, I have to admit, I did start receiving comments from friends and family on how good my hair was looking - admittedly quite a novelty for me. Words such as 'healthy', 'shiny', and 'soft' became usual compliments, and as one does with a boost of confidence, I found my walk became slightly more strut-ish!

So the answer is, yes, Sunsilk's Limited Edition Fashion Designer Range does work!!! My hair is shiny and soft and smells gorgeous. And while I'm sure there are no magical, super-natural ingredients slowly turning me into a supermodel, the psychological effect of feeling confident about an aspect of your physical appearance can only be a good thing!
