Lisa Origliasso of The Veronicas and Dean Geyer call it quits

One of our fave musical couplings has come to an end after Lisa Origliasso (better known as one half of The Veronicas) and ex-Australian Idol star Dean Geyer have called off their engagement. The couple had been together for a year. It seems that the pressures of their careers played a big part in the split.

They released this official statement yesterday:

"Our careers demand we be in different parts of the world now and in the future, and the pressures associated with this have forced us to make this very difficult decision. We remain committed and caring friends, with love, admiration and support for one another.”

While we’re sad to hear the two starlets are no longer together, it’s good to hear that they’re handling the split in a mature way and trying not to be too bitter about it.
